These 3 Nutrients Help Weight Loss

Here are some of the best nutrients and ingredients to help you lose weight:

  • Pantothenic acid, one of the B vitamins, is important in fat metabolism. One study found that individuals taking supplemental pantothenic acid lost weight at an average of 1.2 kg per week. Best juice sources: broccoli, cauliflower, and kale.
  • Chromium helps the body develop a good insulin response. Insulin plays a critical part in maintaining steady blood sugar levels and in stimulating thermogenesis (heat production, which means more calories burned). Chromium can help to increase lean tissue—more muscle means more fat-burning potential. Presumably, this is due to increased insulin sensitivity. In one study, those taking the 200-mcg and the 400-mcg dose of chromium lost an average of 4.2 pounds of fat and gained 1.4 pounds of muscle (versus the placebo group that lost only 0.4 fat pounds and gained only 0.2 pounds in muscle). The recommended daily intake of chromium is between 50 and 200 mcg, yet it appears to be in short supply in the American diet. A USDA study found that nine out of ten adults get less than 50 mcg of chromium daily. Best juice sources: potatoes, green bell peppers, apples, parsnips, spinach, and carrots.
  • Ginger root has thermogenic properties. With some people the tendency to become overweight may be related to a metabolic makeup that results in low thermogenesis. Foods such as ginger root and hot peppers can help facilitate energy production, which can promote weight loss.

Hello sometime ago I signed up for the juice fast starting June 12th I Think that was the date I know it was 1695 I have not been on the emails and I have not seen anything to start that challenge can you resend or help me be able to find the challenge I would like to start the challenge with everybody I really do not know much about downloading then technology thank you

    • Penny, The Juice Fast Challenge starts June 1. Friday the email went out with the download for the lesson. Check your email and junk mail. It’s the big tab at the bottom that you click to download your lesson. Facebook invite is also there; if you have Facebook, then you click that tab for acceptance onto Facebook.

  3. Hi, I do believe in juicing but after a fast and then eating again after the initial weight loss, weight usually comes back. What do you suggest?

    • Continuing with a low carb diet. I have a good plan in The Juice Lady’s Anti-Inflammation Diet.
