3 Tips For Puffy Eyes & Face

Water, Water, Water

That’s right! Drink your water. When you are even slightly dehydrated, your body will retain water to keep homeostasis. This can cause water retention in your under-eye area, other parts of your face, and various other parts of your body.  Your ankles or fingers may swell for example. Water also helps flush toxins out of the body. So you need to get plenty of H2O. But the standard 8 to 10 glasses of water may not be right for you. Determine your number of ounces by taking your body weight and divide in half. This is the number of ounces of water you should drink each day. For 130 pound person, 8 glasses is about right. Also reduce the amount of salt you eat to reduce water retention. And avoid caffeine and alcohol; they are very dehydrating.

Here’s another amazing tip!  Water will lower your cholesterol. My doctor just made me aware of this. Chronic dehydration can increase blood cholesterol levels as your body produces more cholesterol to deposit it within blood vessels and cell membranes to prevent further loss of water. According to a Canadian study published in a 1994 edition of the journal Clinical and Investigative Medicine, “dehydration during fasting was found to increase total serum cholesterol levels, including HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and apolipoproteins A-1 and B.” Also when you don’t drink enough water, you can end up with thicker blood. When the heart squeezes and pushes the thick blood through the blood vessels, the vessels can get damaged.  Cholesterol is enlisted  to patch the damaged vessels. That’s right! The body makes cholesterol and uses it to patch tears in the body. If there is a protein deficiency, the damaged vessels can take years to be repaired.  Meanwhile, the cholesterol patch stays in place to keep the blood vessels from tearing. The cholesterol can also become sticky and catch things that float by.  This can cause a build up that decreases blood flow. As you can see, cholesterol-lowering drugs are not the answer.

Get Your Lymph Moving!

swinglymphBags or swelling under the eyes can be due to lymph fluid pooling under the eyes. When the lymphatic system is congested, it can cause lymph fluid to pool in various parts of the body. Are your rings a little tight? Ankles a bit swollen? You may need to cleanse your lymphatic system. Get the Lymph Rejuvenator tincture. And get your the lymph moving. The Lymphasizer is excellent to keep it moving with just 10-15 minutes a day. Lie on the floor with your feet in the grooves while you watch the news. It’s that easy and very effective. It also helps you lose weight.

As we age our collagen production slows down. Collagen gives the skin strength and elasticity. It helps it look firm and smooth. As you improve your collagen intake, (bone broth is rich in collagen), bags should improve. Try Bone Broth Protein Powder as an easy way to get more collagen in your diet.
