Beet Juice and Liver Detoxing

Did You Know Beet Juice Helps Detox the Liver?

The liver has to process all the chemicals, poor foods, viruses, bacteria and heavy metals we get in our body. It takes the most toxic chemicals and stores them away deep in inner pockets so they can’t damage our organs. When the liver is sluggish, fatty or weak, it can’t do its job properly.  Your health suffers. Your energy declines. And it becomes more and more difficult to lose weight.

You may have a number of signs of liver congestion, even though all your liver-function blood tests appear normal. The tests used to determine liver function are not designed to show mild dysfunction, but rather liver damage. Because the liver is involved in so many critical functions, it can affect nearly every system in our body, including the nervous system, the immune system, the endocrine system, the digestive system, and the circulatory system.

Symptoms of Liver Dysfunction and Toxicity

  • Poor digestion, bloating, gas, weight gain, cellulite, and constipation
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Coated tongue or bad breath in the morning
  • Mood changes, depression, “foggy” brain

  • Headaches: migraines, tension headaches, hormonal headaches, cluster headaches, pain in the eyes, vision problems
  • Fluid retention, swollen legs, high blood pressure

Are You Ready to Clean House and Get a Fresh Start?

I highly recommend doing a 7-day liver cleanse. I have an excellent program with a Liver Detox that is part of my 30-Day Detox. I also recommend the Internal Cleanse Kit as part of the program.  It has the Liver/Gallbladder Rejuvenator and parasite cleansing herbs as part of that cleanse.

Following is a list of foods for cleansing the liver:

  • Beets contain a group of phytonutrients called betalains that support liver detoxification through the phase 2 detox step in the liver.
  • Cucumber contains Cucurbitaceae, compounds that support the digestive tract and liver. They also provide hydrating water that cleanses the liver.
  • Celery contains sodium salts that protect liver cell membranes. They help detox poisons and toxins. Drinking sixteen ounces of pure celery juice on an empty stomach with nothing added every morning is a powerful way to cleanse your liver.
  • Cilantro binds heavy metals so you can safely eliminate them. It also contains phytochemicals that bind to neurotoxins and dermatoxins, which end up in the liver.
  • Lemon cleanses fatty livers and helps dissolve gallstones.
  • Ginger root is rich in zinc which is involved in a variety of liver functions. It also reduces fat in the liver.
