Foot Zone Healing

Foot Zone Healing

I wrote about my first zonology treatment a few weeks ago. One thing that stood out was (literally) the bunion on my right foot. I’ve wondered for years if there was anything I could do naturally to get rid of it. I’ve never found anything . . . . until now. Wendi, my zonology therapist, pointed out that a bunion is related to the neck. Work on the foot to fix the neck and the bunion greatly improves. (Remember the “Dry Bones” song…the thigh bone is connected to the hip bone?) I’m now a believer. It seems apparent that my foot bone is definitely connected to bones in my neck. I’ve had neck pain on and off for a long, long time. If you’ve read the Introduction to many of my books, you know my story. I was attacked by a burglar years ago and hit on the top of my head numerous times with a pipe. I ended up with two crushed discs in my neck.

Wendi worked on the bunion, and of course my whole foot. Now, several weeks later, most of my neck pain is gone. And yes….my bunion is shrinking. It’s not gone, but it’s smaller. And it looks different, like it might be healing in some way, while my neck continues to crackle and pop as it seem to be healing as well. I’m truly amazed.

So what is Foot Zonology?

If you’ve ever had foot reflexology, it’s a bit like that, but offering much more. Foot ZoneTherapy, as it’s also called, includes targeted, direct pressure to the various “zones” of the feet. It’s a method of treating the physical, mental, and emotional areas of the body with a specific massage of the feet. When the therapist massages a signal point and triggers a certain zone, a message is sent to the tissue or organ effected. This travels through a “reflex arc” to the spinal cord and then to the brain. Discomfort is usually experienced in the areas of imbalance. Those areas signal places where healing is needed. The Zonology practitioner interprets the “messages’ the treatment conveys through discoloration, texture, and tenderness. As the therapist works on the foot, each nerve signals the brain to promote healing and change at the corresponding area, which may be muscle, bone, joint, organ, or system. Work on the zones encourages cells to transform from an abnormal state to a healthy one. This promotes cellular balance in the body. Foot Zone Therapy is a holistic approach which recognizes that all of the body’s cells and organs make up a complex and interactive organism.

Trinity RetreatFoot zone therapists treat the body as a whole rather than looking at specific diseases or problems. Although they cannot claim direct healing effects or cures, they have reported remarkable results during and after treatment. Some foot Zonology clients have reported relief from ailments such as headaches, back pain, digestive problems, sleep disorders, depression, autoimmune conditions, colds or flu, and stress, just to name a few.

Wendi will be offering Zonology at our April 3-8 Juice & Raw Foods Cleanse Retreat. I hope you can join us. Register now so you don’t miss the Early Bird Special.
