We Have So Much To Be Grateful For!

Has watching the news got you down? With lockdowns this holiday season and all the negative reports of the virus spreading, you may feel like you’ll never be on a happier road. These constant negative reports cast shrouds darkness over us like webs. There are many voices of fear, chaos, and defeat. We can become paralyzed. It’s time to change the channel. We need positivity in our nation and in our homes. We need to put good things into our minds and spirits now. It’s time to wake up! Our life-giving words through phone calls, emails, and social media can lift despondency and depression for others as well as ourselves and help people get free from fear and despair.  Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.”  Remember, it’s only a shadow.

There are things that seem impossible right now that many of us are praying for. I’ve been thinking about my own life. I prayed so much for my right hand after I was told I’d never use i again due to extensive injuries. I was completely healed, albeit gradually. I tore a tendon in my right foot two years ago and struggled with that for a year. Then suddenly I was completely healed. I have numerous stories I could tell. But the point is that I kept hope alive and kept praying. So don’t ever give up no matter how bleak it looks.

WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR.  Let’s make this a week to count our blessings and focus on all the good things we have as we head for the New Year. This works wonders for our health and particularly our immune system. It’s time to walk boldly through the door of hope.
