Prevent Illness Throughout the Fall and Winter

It’s interesting to observe how the weather is changing—cooler nights and mornings with sunny days. I love this time of year. Even here in Scottsdale, the evenings and mornings are cooler. Our pool is much cooler too. It was a bit of a shock when I jumped in today. But as the weather changes, and different plants and trees bloom, our bodies are a bit more susceptible to getting sick.  Would you like to prevent illness all through the fall and winter, as in no colds or flu? Recipe of the Day

Hot Fall Detox Toddy

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 – 1/2 tsp of turmeric
  • Dash of black pepper
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Several drops of stevia (optional)

Instructions

  1. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into a mug.
  2. Add the turmeric and pepper
  3. Add warm water.
  4. Stir and add stevia
  5. Stir again as turmeric sinks to the bottom
