Juicy Diabetes Cure

One of the best things you can do to help control diabetes is to lose weight.  Not everyone who has diabetes is overweight, but if you do need to lose some weight, vegetable elixirs can be very helpful in juicing off the pounds!

Juicy Tips

Drink a glass of vegetable juice before each meal to help curb your appetite. If you choose ingredients with care, you can get a double dividend of appetite control. The best vegetables to use for weight loss are negative calorie foods—those that require more calories to digest than they contain. Choose dark greens, broccoli, carrots, Jerusalem artichoke, fennel, and cabbage. Also consider using asparagus, cucumber, and celery, which are natural diuretics that can alleviate water retention.

The best vegetables for diabetes

  • Kale and other dark leafy greens
  • Asparagus
  • Broccoli
  • Tomato
  • Lemon and lime

 Magnesium-Rich Cocktail

  • 2 Swiss chard leaves
  • 2 collard leaves
  • 1 cucumber, peeled if not organic
  • 1/2 cup blueberries, thawed if frozen

  1. Cherie, it’s always a pleasure to receive your e-newsletters. I try to circulate your name as much as possible. As soon as I finish my comments I’ll place my order for the “Remedies for Diabetes”.

Although I’m now a diabetic, I’m pre-diabetic. And I do recall reading about Magnesium. Your 30-day detox forced me to really FALL BACK IN LOVE with eating vegetables. My fav: “Awesome Green Smoothie” and Nourishing Yam Soup. I’ve burned out on ’em BUT I’m ordering the book.

I’ll create a flyer/email to those who “profess” to follow my site. I know about 5 women at church who I’ll personally hand to them this Sunday.

Still working on detox BUT I think I’ve shed 20 pounds and I’m happy! Tootles 🙂
