Celery Juice & Skin Healing

What could celery juice possibly have to do with healing burned skin? Healing begins from the inside. What we put in our bodies greatly affects the skin. When Lisa contacted me a couple of months ago, after a bad burn on her leg, I advised her to drink 16 ounces of celery juice first thing in the morning along with other veggie juice combos during the day and take vitamin E, C and collagen protein. Why celery juice? It’s been shown to great decrease pain along with facilitating healing. Lisa’s healing has been rather miraculous. I want to share her story with you along with a few pictures she sent.

Lisa’s Story

THANK YOU (again! – how many times you have ‘saved’ me….!) for your advice for my burned leg. I did the celery juice, vitamin E and veggie juice combos for about 6 weeks. I am continuing the extra Vitamin C and collagen protein for another month, I don’t know if the marks will ever totally go away, but it certainly is SO much better than what it was.

Here’s what happened:

On March 24 in the late afternoon, I had boiled a full kettle of water and was filling a 750 ml glass mason jar that I used to brew tea, I would put it in the fridge to make iced tea. The mason jar was room temperature, but (lesson learned) it was not made of tempered glass. I started filling the jar. Quite soon after I started pouring in the hot water, the glass exploded and sent the boiling water running down my legs. Luckily I was dressed to go out that evening. It was a particularly cold spring night so I had on thick corduroy pants. This was unusual for me to have been wearing those pants inside the house. I think they both saved me and left their mark. It felt hot so when the water hit my leg that I ran into the bathroom. Then I felt burning. I ripped my pants off and jumped into the shower and stood under the water for a while.

I don’t think I did everything just right after that in terms of treatment, but at the moment I was quite shocked and somewhat freaked out. I panicked when I saw a piece of my skin start to peel off, but in the end, it stayed on. Although there were blisters, they were not huge.

I remembered from my mountain bike accident how I had healed myself from the inside out from that traumatic accident. This burn felt like the same magnitude so I immediately thought that I needed to learn what to juice to make myself better. It was a blessing for me that you answered my email.

I remember way back when I was in an infomercial in Burbank, CA for your Juicelady Juicer (Salton) and my parting gift was a new juicer! I still have it.

So – thank you so much for having responded to me. You remain my healing angel.                                    —Lisa
