Healing Your Complexion with Wheatgrass Juice Powder

I had a small red spot on my face that just wouldn’t go away. I tried a lot of things but it wasn’t diminishing. I finally decided to make a wheatgrass paste by adding a drop of water to some wheatgrass juice powder. This is the second time I’ve put it on that spot.  Each time, it’s diminished some and looks lighter.  It’s healing my skin.

A Healing Plant

Wheatgrass is a great source of chlorophyll that you can use for internal and external use. It offers over 100 elements essential to optimal health. This green grass is both antibacterial and antiseptic expediting the healing process of bodily organs including the largest of them— your skin.

According to the American Journal of Surgery (1940), the chlorophyll content in wheatgrass repairs damaged epidermal tissue, inhibits acne breakouts, and diminishes blemishes and scars when included as part of a balanced diet. Ingesting wheatgrass on a regular basis actually clears up symptoms associated with eczema and psoriasis as it cleanses the body throughout.

More Wheatgrass Benefits to Consider

Wheatgrass is high in antioxidants preventing damage from free radicals including environmental toxins and UV exposure. Antioxidants are known to be anti-aging as they repair or prevent skin damage. Wheatgrass can be taken as a supplement in powder, capsule or juice form and it can be topically used to treat skin for a more radiant complexion.

Wheatgrass Facial for Improved Complexion

Your skin will absorb essential vitamins that are the mainstay of many skincare products, nutrients, and minerals that will feed your skin. With that in mind, the next time you step out for an organic wheatgrass juice, save some for your home facial. Mix the juice with either organic egg whites (for oily skin) or egg yolk (for dry skin) or use wheatgrass juice powder. Apply the mixture to a cleansed face for 20 minutes and rinse. Or just mix wheatgrass juice powder with a little water and apply. With the multitude of benefits offered in wheatgrass, you will rediscover nourished skin with radiance.

Wheatgrass Light

Wheatgrass juice is most effective when consumed by itself on an empty stomach. But if you just can’t get it down, here’s a recipe that could help.

  • 1 green apple, washed
  • 1 handful wheatgrass, rinsed
  • 2-3 sprigs mint, rinsed (optional)
  • 1/2 lemon, washed or peeled if not organic

Cut produce to fit your juicer’s feed tube.  Start with apple and juice all ingredients and stir.  Pour into a glass and drink as soon as possible.
