Power Ball Treats & DIY Gift Idea

Power Ball Treats & Gift Idea

These almond butter or seed butter balls make a great Christmas gift. When you don’t know what to give someone special, here’s a gift idea everyone will like. Get a cute Christmas plate or bowl and heap it up with a dozen or two Power Balls. Pair that with my book The Anti-Inflammation Diet that has the recipe and so much more. You’ll give the gift of health that will go on giving all year.

Super Almond Butter Power Balls Yields 40 Power Balls!

This recipe yields a lot, so you can freeze some of the balls and grab 4 or so when you need a snack for the day. It’s worthwhile to roll them all at once and freeze them or keep them in the fridge (for up to 10 days).

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. pumpkin seed or sunflower seed butter or almond butter (1 pound)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup raw honey
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups white sesame seeds (or shredded unsweetened coconut flakes)

Directions:

  1. Mix the seed or nut butter and raw honey together in a bowl.
  2. Measure oats as they are or blend them until they assume a powder-like texture.
  3. Add the oats to the seed or nut butter/honey mixture and mix until combined, working with hands. Adjust consistency if necessary.
  4. Roll batter into small balls. Wet hands often to prevent the mixture from sticking.
  5. Roll balls into your choice of sesame seeds or coconut. Chill and eat!

    Hi,
I am interested in doing a detox and am interested in purchasing one of Cherie’s books to use so I have two questions to ask:.
    1. Which is the best book that would help me to do a detox starting in the new Year?
    2. I am asking for recommendations on the best juicer to purchase. I recognize you may not want to give suggestions, however, I have tried juicers before and for one reason or another didn’t work. I purchased a Vitamix but have found its not the best for juicing but makes very good smoothies. I am asking for your assistance and will wait to hear from you.
    Thanks

    • If you want a detox book, it is Juicing, Fasting, and Detoxing for Life. However, I recommend you join 30-day detox program that begins Jan 15. It is more thorough. I also recommend you get the Internal Cleanse Kit with the free colon cleanse kit to go with the program. It has all the herbal products that helps each of your organs cleanse. It is a 4-week program starting with colon cleanse, then liver/gallbladder & parasite cleanse, step 3 is lung and kidney/bladder, and week 4 is lymphatic system and skin & blood. I like the top of the line Breville. It’s over $300 on Amazon. Yes, VM makes great smoothies but not juice. Happy cleansing!
