30-Day Detox/Liver Flush

30-Day Detox/Liver Flush

Our stressful carb-filled lives cause abuse to the liver and overtax it.  Illness or disease are inevitable if we don’t cleanse and rejuvenate this hard working organ. To rebuild and repair the liver, it’s imperative that we:

  • Remove excess fat from the liver
  • Support the flow of bile
  • Flush out the toxins that have been stored in the liver
  • Dissolve or pass stones that are stored in the liver (yes the liver can get stones just like the gallbladder)
  • Regenerate damaged liver cells

LIVER/GALLBLADDER FLUSH

Do you Need A Liver/Gallbladder Flush?

Even thought the 30-day detox program starts Monday, I couldn’t wait to start my liver cleanse, which is week two of the detox program. I’ll be a little more than week ahead of everyone on the program. I’m on day 2 of my liver cleanse as I write my newsletter.  My life has changed already.  I didn’t need as much sleep last night and woke up refreshed.  My energy has kicked up a notch.  My sinuses have cleared. I’m filled with more joy! I have better focus and a confidence that I can get all the things done that I need to do.  (That was missing last week.) I’m so encouraged.

I like to share with you my personal journey from time to time.  This week I had foot work.  My liver/gallbladder point was very sore . . . as in OUCH!!  There was no missing that one.  I really need a liver cleanse.  I should have been able to identify that from some of my symptoms, but the foot, with all its nerve endings, just doesn’t lie. Beets Detox the Liver

Beets Detox the Liver

Beet juice can be highly beneficial for the liver due to its betaine. Betaine is the substance that encourages the liver cells to get rid of toxins. Additionally, betaine acts to protect the liver and bile ducts, which are important if the liver is to function properly. Beets are also known to decrease the risk of coronary and cerebral artery diseases because they lower inflammation.

Traditionally, beets have been linked to the healing of the liver, a decrease in homocysteine, an improvement in stomach acid production, prevention of the formation of free-radicals in LDL, and the prevention of lung, liver, skin, spleen, and colon cancer. Make note of its protective effect on LDL. It is not LDL per se that is harmful, but oxidized (damaged) LDL. These many health benefits are not all directly linked to liver detoxification, but they help the body to work more efficiently. Because the systems of the body are all intertwined and rely upon each other to work properly, this indirectly affects the ability of the liver to rid itself of toxins and continue to work at an optimal level. Besides juicing beets and making beet salad, you can bake, steam, or roast them.
