Enzymes Grow Hair and Slow Aging Process

We were out of town for ten days recently. I forgot my Ness Enzymes #4 and # 16. By the end of the 10 days, my hair was looking rather limp and lifeless. Only a few days back home taking my enzymes with each meal, and my hair was back to normal. So why do enzymes affect the hair and nails so positively?

Systemic enzymes benefit your entire system. But specifically the enzymes I take and recommend help your body break down undigested proteins that circulate in the system. More digested protein means more availability for your hair and nails. These enzymes have actually helped me grow hair back. There was a time when my hair really thinned out. When I discovered these enzymes, my hair started growing back and the hair I had also got thicker and stronger. It broke less often.

They also have a powerful influence in increasing blood circulation. They are able to do this by consuming excess fibrin within the body which can cause blood to thicken, causing clots. And they help the liver in the cleansing process which in turn improves blood circulation. Improved blood circulation helps your hair grow by bringing vital nutrients to your hair follicles. If your body does not have enough systemic enzymes you may see a reduction in hair growth or even hair loss but if you supplement your levels, you will start seeing hair growth.

And it isn’t just your hair that will benefit. Your whole body will be helped. Enzymes are important for energy production, fighting infections and healing wounds, reducing inflammation, getting nutrients into your cells, removing toxins, breaking down fat, regulating cholesterol, regulating hormones, and slowing the aging process.

Onion Rings

This is a recipe from our retreat. A dehydrated snack is served each afternoon of the juice fast.

  • 3-5 onions (yellow, white, Walla Walla sweets)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider or coconut vinegar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced or pressed, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

Cut onions into thin slices and set aside. Add lemon juice and vinegar to a bowl. Very slowly, pour in the olive oil by dripping it in from a distance of about a foot above the bowl while whisking continually.  This will create an emulsion where the oil is well combined with the other ingredients and won’t separate as easily so you won’t end up with lots of oil on some pieces and very little on others.  Then stir in the sea salt, minced garlic, if using, and cayenne. Add the onion slices to the emulsion and marinate for several hours. Shake off excess marinade so that onion rings are not dripping with marinate. Place onions rings on dehydrator sheets and dehydrated for about 7 to 8 hours at 105 to 115 F or until crisp.
