Wheatgrass Helps You Lose Weight

Fresh or dehydrated wheatgrass really can help you lose weight. It’s loaded with nutrients that speed up your metabolism and convert calories to energy. It has a high concentration of iron, magnesium, calcium, amino acids, vitamins C, A and E, B12, B6, and chlorophyll. These vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients provide many health benefits. Wheatgrass is also very helpful in ridding the body of yeast and parasites. These bad guys especially don’t like wheatgrass. A friend got rid of a sizable tapeworm by consuming wheatgrass juice every day for a week.

RECIPE

Wheatgrass Light

  • 1 green apple, washed
  • 1 handful wheatgrass, rinsed
  • 2-3 sprigs mint, rinsed (optional)
  • 1/2 lemon, washed or peeled if not organic

Cut produce to fit your juicer’s feed tube.  Start with apple and juice all ingredients and stir.  Pour into a glass and drink as soon as possible.

  4. As a post-menopausal woman with high iron levels, the fact that wheatgrass is high in iron concerns me. It would certainly help with some of my health issues, include Type II diabetes and candidiasis, but I definitely don’t need any more iron.

    • Usually, iron rich vegetables and sprouted foods like wheatgrass are not limited unless your symptoms and condition is severe. The most important things to eliminate are: Avoiding Iron Supplements
      Raw Seafood and Alcohol along with red meat. Supplements and foods to include more of:
      Turmeric
      Calcium
      Magnesium
      Polyphenols and Tannins
      Foods high in Oxylates and Phytates
