Sarai’s Tumor has Shrank!

Day 31 of juicing and eating Raw – These last two weeks I added wild-caught salmon from Alaska. I cook it with only lemon nothing else and no seasoning, not even oil. The lemon works as the oil base. Still very good; avocado helps a lot. I’m still alive and better than healthy believe it or not. I still haven’t had a chance to go to the doctor for a follow-up. I’m down 24 pounds but most importantly the tumor has drastically shrunk. Can I hear an Amen! 🤓☝🏽 Let’s see – today is the first day I added bread and one corn tortilla not sure how my body will react to it but we’ll see and that’s just for today. I prefer not to add any dairy or gluten because I’ve gotten faster results that way and that’s just me though. I can’t wait for the end result of it all. “This was the first time I ever, ever went on any kind of diet [30-Day Detox].  The first week was hard, but I am glad I made it through the whole three weeks.  I have not taken any sinus meds since and I’ve had no headaches. I only have knee pain that is mild compared to the level of knee and elbow pain I had been in for more than eight months while taking NSAIDs. This was ALL my doctor could do for me. “In June, 2014, I first began juicing. Within the first month, I drastically reduced my high sugar consumption to almost total elimination. I vigilantly maintained that for one year. June, 2015, a little more sugar crept in. As the months went on, though I kept juicing, sugar got more of a foothold. The holidays were tougher to get thru. Cherie’s Interview and Juicing!

“I am writing to thank you for the things I learned from your interview with Ty Bollinger on ‘The Truth about Cancer’ series. I was encouraged by your ‘can do’ attitude.  It was infectious.  I decided to try your suggestion of 2 quarts [of juice] a day, adding in garlic and ginger, and using some pulp in a salad. I began the next day drinking 2 quarts of juice. I didn’t change anything else in the diet, just added juice. (My diet is pretty clean.) I included the one chunk of ginger and one garlic clove on the first day and added more each day.  I loved the concept of making a salad with the carrot pulp and beet pulp. Wow. One reason I have not liked juicing is because I HATE throwing away pulp.  Then I thought. . . what can I do with it?  I thought of the French and how they never throw away peelings or any part of the vegetable; they save it in the freezer and pull it out when they have enough to make vegetable stock.  I decided to make vegetable stock out of the pulp.  I put the pulp in cold water to encourage the minerals to come out and then slowly heated it up and cooked it.  Drained it. The stock was delicious!  I craved it.  The hot pulp was also good with some butter on it and my schnauzer also appreciated it. Sometimes I feel like the cooked stock nourishes me more than the juice itself.

So this is how I began an enlightening journey about juicing 2 quarts a day. Every day. What happened?  I became less hungry. That gnawing feeling of always being hungry left me.  The cup full of vitamins I took 3 times a day dwindled down to about a tablespoon once a day.  The pain I felt most of the time has lifted. I only want to eat meat once every three days now. I experimented to see what would happen if I used juice in place of different vitamins, to see if I could eliminate them.  When I added more ginger, my sinus congestion left.  I experimented to see if I was imagining the improvements. I deleted the juice for 2 days.  The pain, lack of energy, hunger and sinus congestion returned.  I went back on the juice and it went away again.

I am a mother of 7. Between being pregnant and nursing it adds up to 14 years.  Even though my diet has been very good all those years I see that I was so hungry for what I have found in juicing.  It has become an ‘A’ activity for me. I am saving hundreds of dollars a month by getting my vitamins fresh in juice. Quite a concept.  I am surprised…and delighted.”  —Kathy  November 2015



Trinity RetreatPraise for Juicing and Raw Food Retreat in Spokane, September 2015

It all started with a TV Program of Cherie on Sid Rod’s Show “It’s Supernatural”, which we watched back in 2013, when we were stationed in Zimbabwe, (Southern Africa), working for the United Nations. We were moved by Cherie’s vision as shown to her by God, involving God’s children defeated by the enemy through various diseases due to their own choice for unhealthy food. We were thrilled also with Cherie’s determination to foil the enemy’s plan through juicing and healthy food. My wife’s heart melted for Cherie’s vision. Instantly, she vowed to try to meet Cherie someday and eventually develop some strategic partnership with her.

Shortly after that, we relocated to the United States by December 2014, following my retirement. During that cold winter of 2014 in the East Coast, my wife developed arthritis, with a frozen shoulder. As a result, she was recommended to see an orthopedic doctor for treatment and prescribed anti -inflammatory pills. But my wife refused this option and chose to go juicing. She ordered Cherie’s books and videos entitled “The Juice Lady’s Guide to Juicing for Health”. She acquired a juicer also and embarked on a juice fast program for 10 days. Only three days later, my wife started to “melt down”; she began to feel better and could move her shoulders and dress herself once again effortlessly. She continued for six consecutive days. A week later, all the pain was gone, to our amazement. This was a miracle before my eyes, in my own house. She lost a total of 9 pounds in total and had no more pain; her face was shining; and her skin tone visibly enhanced. This miracle took place six months before the retreat at Spokane (20-25 September 2015); which my wife was delighted to join, in order to perfect her newly acquired science. I embarked on the trip to Spokane reluctantly, thinking that this was an exclusive ladies’ affair. How wrong I was. We have not been disappointed at all. This life changing experience indeed was worth the while.

Our Conclusions and Recommendations after the 5 days retreat at Spokane follow:

-Juicing benefits are not for women only. In the event you are attending a juicing retreat, consider taking your partner along, for maximum benefits;

– I spent 26 years working for the United Nations during which time I attended hundreds of trainings, seminars and retreats. Not a single one can compare to what I experienced during these five short days at Spokane. Life changing, as mentioned earlier.

-The environment for the Retreat was perfect; peaceful, with wild life around and prone to meditation.

-The content of the teachings are to the point and the sessions by Cherie & Fr John are quite complementary. I recommend that participants read the hand outs provided beforehand and remain alert during the sessions. I recommend also that they do their homework;

-Strategic Partnership have been carefully developed ; which gives an Added Value to the Retreat. Partners including the Intercessory Prayer Group; the Side consultations with Doctors, various massage therapists, food Supplements products representatives, physical exercises, etc… were all worth the while.

-Take Away: This life changing experience that must have a domino effect, for continuing impartation.  “Spreading the Gospel” by participants is the way to go, under Cherie’s coaching. This knowledge is not to be kept; it MUST be shared wherever possible, with relatives, friends and church members, etc.. “My people perish for lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6.

-See how Cherie can be taken through technology or physically to far away places such as Africa where this juicing program is so badly needed.

-For some serious health conditions, simple juicing program may be the only or cheapest and the best option to consider.

-Cherie and Father John, my wife and I are humbled by your love, humility and kindness. We felt quite at home during the Retreat. Thank you also for giving us the opportunity to provide our views on the retreat.

Praise for the May 2015 Retreat

Cherie/Father John;

Thank you so much for the scholarship to attend the healing retreat in Washington State. I learned a whole lot, met some great people, saw a part of the country I’d never seen before and most important of all – received a number of healings from the Lord. My back continues to be healed. I had no pain at all lugging a heavy suitcase across three airports last Saturday. I’ll keep you posted when I have further tests – as to what happened to the tumor on my kidney and the fibroid tumors in my womb.

So far the doctor is estimating a 70% improvement in my back. One fibroid tumour is gone and the other is shrinking. And my kidney tumour is shrinking as well. The healing is still ongoing.


Praise for the May 2015 Retreat

When I arrived at the retreat centre I was welcomed warmly and felt right at home. The week of juice fasting posed no problem and time flew by too quickly. The interaction with the other participants was uplifting as were the different sessions where we learned about healthy foods and not so healthy foods as well as physical, emotional and spiritual detoxification.

The retreat took place at the Immaculate Heart Retreat Centre, a large complex in serene surroundings with large, stately trees, and an abundance of wildlife wandering through the woods. Some deer came right up to the buildings.

On Wednesday night we had a meaningful worship service.

As I was the oldest of thirty participants, I was surprised how every so often someone tapped me on the shoulders in passing or gave me a friendly hug. As a group we were almost knit together as one unit.

At the sharing session on Thursday night we sat in a circle and each was encouraged to tell what the week meant for each one. When it was my turn I told them the following: When we first came here, we were strangers. Now, we are strangers no longer, we are friends, brothers and sisters. Then I told my story how I was set free from bitterness and resentment. I had asked God to forgive me, and He did. However in some wakeful hours during the nights the thought was impressed upon me that I have to go to the person against whom I harbored resentment and ask him to forgive me for these bitter thoughts toward him. This I did after some considerable time and the burden lifted and I was set free. After the session quite a few came to me and expressed their gratitude to me for sharing this as it encouraged them to set things right with someone. We closed the session with holding hands, uplifting them and sang the doxology “Praise God from Who All blessings flow, Praise him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye Heavenly host, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.” This was a most remarkable, blessed evening  —Werner

Slugger Josh Hamilton reported to Los Angeles Angels spring training Tuesday for the first time since coming over from the Texas Rangers via free agency. And, at age 31, Hamilton has come in at least 20 pounds lighter than usual, reports Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

How’d he do it? Juicing, of course: The weight loss began as part of a fast Hamilton underwent for his church, he said. He gave up bread. “The Lord kept waking me up in the middle of the night over a month and every time I’d wake up there’d be a doctor on [TV] talking about what you put in your body and how it makes you feel,” Hamilton said. “And then The Juice Lady was on. It was like, all right, I always pray the Lord will help me feel better. Well, that’s all great, but am I doing my part? Now its time for me to do my part.” By juicing, he meant fruit and vegetable juice, not PEDs. Phew. No need for a spit take. Hamilton could have just had a V8, but why stop at one?! And by “juice lady,” Hamilton literally meant “The Juice Lady,” noted nutrition author Cherie Calbom. Based on the themes of this infomercial — spirituality and healthy eating — it seems that two of Hamilton’s worlds have collided: Click to view video.  It lines up perfectly for Hamilton, a deeply spiritual recovering addict, in the post-rehab stage of his life. It might seem like a strange revelation for an experienced professional athlete like Hamilton — “Hey, I need to come into camp in shape!” — but it’s a good sign that he’s aware of his limitations increasing as he gets older. My driver’s license said I weighed198 pounds, but actually I was over 200 pounds. I just couldn’t face being that heavy without the excuse of being pregnant. With each of my two children I had gained about 50 pounds but lost it within a year or two after their births. This time was different. My weight gain seemed to go hand in hand with the depression, chronic fatigue, and neurological problems associated with a traumatic brain injury I’d sustained. It wasn’t easy for me to just pick myself up off the couch and get moving after the accident. I had no energy. An exercise routine, even walking, was neurologically over-stimulating and left me so cognitively and physically exhausted that it took hours and sometimes days to recover. I couldn’t move enough for a workout.

Since being hit by a car while riding my bicycle, I’d spent most of my time on the couch or in bed and always in pain. Unsolicited advice from a well-meaning neighbor who saw me grow from the slender 145-pound person I’d been to over 200 pounds had me questioning my food choices and my inability to figure out how to “keep moving and stop eating.” I found that weight loss isn’t always as simple as just reducing the amount of food one eats and increasing movement. I learned that first you actually have to feed the body minerals, vitamins, and enzymes that it needs to function. I also learned about toxic overload. This dramatic increase in my weight could have been due to an increase in toxins in my system. I discovered that the body’s natural defense mechanism is to protect itself from harmful toxic substances by storing them in fat cells. I had a lot of toxins in my system. After the accident I was subjected to massive amounts of radiation via x-rays and various scans that required radioactive dyes. All this helped them find the portions of my brain that had been injured in the accident, but it did nothing to help me move well or repair my nervous system, which was in serious trouble. And the more I read, the more I suspected it was contributing to my weight gain.

Then I discovered raw vegan cuisine and juicing by reading various authors in the field of juicing, raw vegan cuisine, and nutrition. In each book I marveled at the consistent case studies and personal reports from people who experienced weight loss and healing with juicing and eating lots of raw foods. As I read the books and looked at before and after pictures with each person radiating an inescapable beauty that shone through their eyes, I learned about their relief from physical symptoms and weight loss –from a few pounds to several hundred. I experienced hope. All the healings and weight loss stories took place through a simple act of eating. I began to realize that at the very least, losing 50 pounds could become a reality.

In the first year I drank a lot of wheat grass juice. A few weeks into my new program, I went for my usual dental check up and cleaning. My hygienist asked if I had whitened my teeth and marveled at the plasticity of my previously receding gum-line. Now, voluptuous-toned gums hugged my teeth. She thought I had just come back from a sunny vacation somewhere because my skin glowed and appeared tanned, but I assured her I had not been anywhere. She commented that I was talking faster, appeared to understand her, and she didn’t have to repeat things to me so much on this visit. She has watched me transform over the years and continues to marvel at the changes. “Its like you’re a totally different person!” she recently said.

My dietary program paid off. I lost more than I expected–about 70 pounds in seven months. I’ve been eating a high raw food diet for about four years and have kept the weight off, fluctuating between 134-142 pounds. My juice preference have made a major shift in these four years as my desire for savory flavors is now surpassing previous desires for sweet. My favorite juices include red or yellow bell pepper, cucumber, kale, parsley, and sometimes garlic. This is a noticeable shift from earlier days when I wanted a combination of apple, lemon, and ginger, dominated by the sweetness of ripe apples.

In early July 2008, I read the best article on Detoxing i have ever read in the PCC Natural Markets newsletter written by Cherie. Having gone through a recent divorce and a weight gain of 50 lbs. over the past year and a half, I really needed to cleanse physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I immediately went to the bookstore and purchased her latest book, “Juicing, Fasting, and Detoxing for Life”. I began by eating only foods from her Alkaline list, and avoiding the foods on the Acidic list, also increasing my water intake.

By the end of July , I had lost 8 lbs. by doing this alone. I then began juicing in early August ( a 9 day juice cleanse ) and I dropped another 12 lbs – totaling 20 lbs. in the first month alone! I eat all organic whole foods, of which 90% is raw. My energy level increased dramatically, and I began jogging. (actually more like “chugging.”) I started Cherie’s colon detox program, and subsequently lost 20 more lbs. At this point I have lost a grand total of 40 lbs., which is where I am today – a mere 12 weeks into my new lifestyle. I started at 166 lbs. and I am now 126 lbs. This Sunday I will begin the Liver/Gallbladder detox program, followed by the Kidney detox program.

I am an aethetician by profession and have influenced not only several of my clients, by my colleagues as well, who have purchased her books and are enjoying some wonderful results of their own.  I feel so good about starting this “movement” in our spa.

NASCAR Driver Losses 60 Pounds

At the height of my unhealthy living, I weighed 217 pounds. Today I weigh around 160 pounds. It was totally a result of focusing on eating healthy foods and drinking vegetable juices. I never counted calories, measured my food for quantity, or attempted to keep myself from consuming a certain amount of food. What started my weight loss journey was actually a health crisis. At the age of 29, I was diagnosed with metastasized melanoma and was given a 5% chance of living past my thirties.

I was devastated. My wife and I wanted to start a family. I had just begun racing on the NACAR circuit. There was a lot I had to live for. Therefore, I decided I would educate myself on what types of food would bring my body life, wellness, and healing. I ate as much of those foods as I could get my hands on. I juiced the produce and I ate a lot of it raw as well. I have now enjoyed thousands of salads and I look forward to each one. I never felt like I was limited to eating “just this” or “just that.” Instead, I focused on what I could eat and where I could enjoy freedom in my nourishment. In three months, I lost 40 pounds. But the best news was that after surgery, and my dietary changes, my doctor said that all looked good and that “whatever I was doing, I should keep up.”

About a year later there was no sign or recurring melanoma. I had also lost another 20 pounds. Best of all, I felt great. I had found a way of life I wanted to stick with for the rest of my life.

Sweet Success!

I lost 15 pounds in four months. I started my new lifestyle with green smoothies, increased my vegetable intake, reduced refined carbohydrates, added good oils to my diet and ate lean meat and fish. Then I started juicing, which took me to a higher level of health. When I drink the juice, I feel better almost immediately. I notice when I don’t drink fresh juice, mu body starts to crave it. My health has improved significantly since I started the juice diet. Ty allergies decreased considerably when I began juicing. Once I changed my diet, and started juicing, I had more of a desire to eat healthier. I also have more energy to get things done. I really lie the energy the juice gives me. I make myself carrot and beet juice so I’ll have the energy to go exercise. This is a new thing for me to be able to exercise and not feel exhausted afterward. I love it. I used to wake up in the mornings really grumpy, and more tired than when I went to bed. Now, on most days, I’m waking up happy and feeling better than ver. This is such a breakthrough for me. Even with the gloomy fall weather, I’m really happy and that makes my family a whole lot happier, too. At one point in my program I just wasn’t losing any more weight. Cherie suggested that I try a liver cleanse which would help me get past the plateau plus she told me it would help me with my energy level. After about a week of being on CHerie’s liver cleansing program, I could really feel a difference in the way I felt. I had more energy and by the next week some of my other symptoms cleared up, such as, allergies to certain foods, dry lifeless hair, dull eyes, and spots on my skin. Carol Allen’s Story

Carol lost 134 pounds and found her life.

Three years ago Carol weighed 347 pounds. She had been steadily gaining weight since her first child was born and nothing she tried worked. Carol confided that the guilt and shame that accompanied her obesity seemed overwhelming at times.

The looks, stares, and reactions of people often indicated what they must be thinking: Why don’t you take care of yourself? Why aren’t you more disciplined? She could eat a lot of vegetables, a little low-sugar fruit, lean protein, and a very small amount of starchy carbohydrate. It worked! She lost 150 pounds.One of her happiest days came when she sat down in her assigned seat on an airplane and didn’t need an extender belt. She was smiling from ear to ear all that flight.

But then she started adding in more starches and some sweets. She gained back 30 pounds, which was caused her many worried, sleepless nights. And just about the time she thought her prayers were going no further than the ceiling, she met nutritionist Cherie Calbom, M.S. who encouraged her to start juicing green vegetables. She went on a three-day juice fast and lost 6.2 pounds. That was encouraging. Strengthened with new zeal, she tried The Juice Lady’s Turbo Diet for ten days to see what would happen. She lost another 6 pounds. To date, Carol has lost 134 pounds. She still has more weight to lose, but this time she’s confident that she not only can reach her goal weight, but move steadily in the direction of a healthy lifestyle that will help her maintain her weight for life. Dave’s Story

Dave lost 230 lbs., his diabetes, colon cancer, and kidney ailment!

Sometimes people say that they just don’t have time to juice. You should meet Dave. I have a friend who’s known as “Dave the ‘Raw Foods’ Trucker.” He’s lost a truckload of weight juicing. Dave was desperate to drop about half his weight and restore his health. Weighing in at 430 pounds, he’d been diagnosed with diabetes, colon cancer, and a kidney problem.

To top that off, he faced losing his job because of his poor health. And he had no idea how he would earn a living if he lost his driving profession. To say the least, this made him anxious to find an answer that worked quickly. When a friend introduced him to vegetable juicing, it made sense that this could change his life. Dave bought four juicers—two for his house and two for the truck—two so that he’d always have a backup in case one juicer broke down at home or on the road. He also bought the longest extension cord he could find. He’d plug in the cord in restrooms at truck stops and juice on picnic tables. He said this was not easy because he’d often draw a crowd of folks who were very curious about what he was doing. They’d ask lots of questions and slow him down as he tried to explain what he was up to. But Dave never gave up. He just kept juicing and drinking his hearty green juice combinations—on the road six days a week.

It paid off! Dave has lost well over 230 pounds. But that’s not all. He no longer has diabetes, colon cancer, or a kidney ailment. He has energy and vitality! He said he’s noticed emotional changes as well as physical, such as feeling more loving toward people. Recently a friend told me she was standing near him at a raw foods lecture at Thrive Café—one of our local Seattle raw foods hang outs. “Dave was vibrating with energy,” she said. “It was like he had electricity pumping through his body.” If Dave can juice on the road, living out of a truck most of the week, plugging in an extension cord in a restroom, and juicing on picnic tables, you can juice at home or at work.” No excuses anymore!

I was down 13 pounds right at my wedding but I count losing 8 pounds when I tell people about juicing since it had been a consistent 8 pounds. James Lost 13 Pounds Juicing

I started juicing seven days a week on May 1st of this year and have used only the recipes in your book, “The Big Book of Juices & Green Smoothies” since May 1. My energy level began to improve noticeably after two weeks of juicing. I lost a lot of weight. The majority of my weight loss (13 pounds) occurred between June 6th and July 6th when I began using your “The Fast Track One-Day Juice Diet” from your Turbo Diet book two times every week. I perhaps would have lost an additional four pounds during this period had my solid food meal plan been low glycemic and/or low carb. I’m slowly transitioning to a low glycemic and low carb nutrition program. I anticipate losing at least another 13 pounds in the next four weeks, if not more, by supplementing my daily juicing with a healthier diet Also, I’ve had metatarsalgia in the bottom of my right foot for about the last two years. Before I started juicing I could only go out for 20 to 30 minute walks two or three days in a row and then I’d begin limping from soreness in the right foot. Now I can walk an hour every day without developing pain in my foot. When I do experience mild aching in the bottom of my right foot on occasion, I roll the bottom of my right foot on a frozen 17 ounce bottle of water for about 20 minutes every two or three days or so and continue to walk an hour almost every day.
