3 Juices to Reduce HBP

3 Juices to Reduce HBP

“BEET” High Blood Pressure!

About 75 million American adults (29%) have high blood pressure, which is 1 in every 3 American adults. Anyone, including children, can develop high blood pressure. It greatly increases the risk for heart disease and stroke, Simply taking medication is not the long-term answer. There are side effects such as a dry cough, dizziness or an upset stomach. The answer is getting to the root of the problem, which is often stress and anxiety. Using natural remedies with no side effects can be very helpful along with stress reduction.

Beet Juice

A cup of beet juice a day may help reduce your blood pressure, according to a small study in the American Heart Association journal Hypertension. People with high blood pressure who drank about 8.5 ounces of beet juice experienced a decrease in blood pressure of about 10 mm Hg in three hours.2 Beets contain high levels of dietary nitrate (NO3), which the body converts into biologically active nitrite (NO2) and nitric oxide (NO). In the human body, NO relaxes and dilates blood vessels. Other leafy vegetables such as lettuce, watercress, and cabbage also have high levels of the compound, which they take up from the soil through their roots.3 Keep in mind these are good nitrites.

Celery Juice

A study in Jepara at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus found that celery juice improved blood pressure. Celery contains phthalides, a phytochemical that relaxes tissues of the artery walls leading to increased blood flow and reduced blood pressure.4 In another study a 74-year-old man was diagnosed with hypertension. Medications gave him side effects making them undesirable. His blood pressure measured 150/80.  He was given celery juice over 6 months. At the end of his care, his blood pressure measured 118/82 mmHg.5

Watercress Juice

Watercress, like beet juice, has been shown in studies to lower blood pressure. It contains similar high levels of the same nutrients found in beets. With the watercress study, participants lowered their diastolic blood pressure by an average of 3.7 mm Hg in just three days. Rats that ate watercress had lower blood pressure levels than the rats using medication to treat high blood pressure. Watercress has also been shown to facilitate weight loss.

Additional Interventions

Ashwagandha

An “adaptogenic” herb, ashwagandha works in a variety of non-specific ways. Specifically, ashwagandha helps to reduce the impact of stress and anxiety. Stress and anxiety raise your blood pressure in short order. Ashwagandha helps! Studies show that people who take ashwagandha have decreases in both blood pressure and pulse rate. One study published in the Indian Journal of Psychological Medicine shows that it greatly reduces stress, anxiety, and “serum cortisol levels.” Another study found that taking ashwangadha improved people’s anxiety, well-being, and overall health improved over 90 days.7 When you calm your mind, your body will follow! Black Seed Oil

A study recently published in Food Science & Nutrition Research1 found that supplementation with black seed oil lowered blood pressure in healthy subjects. In the study, 20 subjects with normal blood pressure were all treated with a daily dose of black seed oil for six weeks. Subjects had their blood pressure tested daily throughout the study. Results showed that following the six weeks of supplementation with the black seed oil, systolic blood pressure decreased by 11.2% and diastolic blood pressure by 12.2%. An initial significant decline in blood pressure was observed in as little as two days. Following six weeks of placebo, subjects’ blood pressure elevated slightly. 6I recently had my blood pressure taken at my wellness check. It was 123 over 68. It’s usually in the 130 range (white coat syndrome). I recently started taking black seed oil. You can order it at wellevate.me/juicelady  You’ll get 15% off.

NAC

In in vivo animal studies of hypertension, NAC not only reduced blood pressure but also was effective at reducing oxidative stress and improving antioxidant capacity.5 It also helps spike proteins from attaching to receptor sites. It’s an excellent virus-prevent supplement. I now have NAC by Pure Encapsulations back in stock.

Prayer for Healing

Prayer changes everything. Usually, the answer for our physical ailments is multi-faceted. It often includes our involvement. It may involve faith, emotional/mental work, and nutritional/dietary changes. You can be well. Do it all.

BRAIN JUICE

BRAIN JUICE

3 Juices To Power Up Your Brain

Double the GREEN with a SPLASH of PURPLE

Spinach for Learning
Spinach juice offers antioxidants that quench free radicals which cause neurogenerative effects. The flavonoids in spinach can help reduce plaque buildup that is associated with Alzheimer’s disease. And one study published in Experimental Neurology showed less brain damage from the restricted blood supply and increased motor function following a stroke. Spinach also expands the brain’s learning capacity.
Kale Lowers the Chances of Stroke
The American Academy of Neurology says “Leafy greens are one of the best foods for brain health.” Kale’s vitamins A, C, and E and selenium are integral for brain wellness. They also lower the chances of stroke. One cup of raw kale, which you can easily juice, contains 80.4 milligrams of vitamin C and 10,302 international units of vitamin A, or 134 percent and 206 percent of your daily required value, respectively.
Berries Improve Motor Control and Cognition
Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and other berries have benefits that may help prevent age-related memory loss and other brain changes, said scientists in ACS’ Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. Berries’ antioxidants protect cells from damage by harmful free radicals. They also change the way neurons in the brain communicate and they improve both motor control and cognition.

Neuropathy Helped with Juicing

Hi Cherie, you sent me a wonderful Nama J2 juicer, which I am using all the time. I was diagnosed with neuropathy. I have been given infusions every month —2 days for 3 hours). And I am going to a spinal doctor bc my back is “an S” due to a fall when I was 2 1/2 yrs old down 2 flights of stairs and landed on my back on concrete.

I will be receiving shots on each side of my lower spine to take the pain away from 6 months to a year.

This seems to be all modern medicine has for neuropathy. So far, nothing but the shots have shown much to help with the back and neuropathy.

Tired Adrenals?

Here’s HOPE!

Hope for Tired Adrenals
Having suffered from adrenal fatigue, I know firsthand what it is to experience the symptoms that are considered to be indicative of adrenal fatigue—body aches, low blood pressure, sleep disturbances, and lightheadedness especially when standing up quickly.  There are many suboptimal conditions that people experience that cannot be diagnosed with standard tests given by allopathic doctors.  A typical test that naturopathic doctors and other holistic physicians recommend is the saliva test.  It will give you a measurement of adrenal hormone production at different times of day and night.

Beet Juice Liver Detox

The liver holds a key to efficient metabolism, weight control, bowel health, and detoxification. The liver is the major fat-burning organ in the body. Cleansing your liver can greatly improve weight loss and energy. When you regularly consume sweets and other processed carbohydrates, junk food, and other unhealthy foods and beverages, your liver converts these calories mostly to fat and stores it. Fat can build up in the liver, which can lead to “fatty liver” When this happens, something has gone wrong in the process of metabolism. It is known that fat accumulates in the liver with a number of conditions, the most common being obesity. Fatty liver is also associated with diabetes mellitus, high triglycerides, high fructose corn syrup, and heavy use of alcohol.

Exhausted?

Exhausted?

6 Juices for Exhaustion & Low Adrenals

Large numbers of people suffer from fatigue that is not relieved by rest and sleep. This is one indicator that the adrenals are stressed and not functioning well. This can be one of the symptoms of long covid. Stress plays a big part in exhausting the adrenal glands. Stress also affects the liver leading to low peptic acid production. A deficiency of peptic acid causes calcium to be high. This may also interfere with protein synthesis and inhibit the replication of cells. This leads to fatigue and low blood sugar. Low adrenal function can contribute to this problem in that the adrenal glands regulate mineral levels. Mineral levels would not be abnormal if the adrenals were functioning properly. (Do not take cod liver oil if your calcium is high.)
